Morning Mist in Somerset

I made a plan. I looked at the BBC Weather app and saw what time dawn was in my location - 6:52am. I wanted to take a photograph of a line of trees, not very far away, in the mist which I hoped would be present in the early morning. At the appointed time I managed (just) to get out of bed and after some delay walked across the fields and saw that line of trees. But alas there was very little mist!

However, there is always the unexpected, as they say. I line of racehorses were being exercised along a gallop which was against the light. So this is what I finished photographing.

As for the mist I will keep watching.
